This handsome 6-year-old 15hh Friesian cross gelding has the presence to turn heads in the show ring, but he's also quiet and has a willing nature that takes care of his rider. From his Friesian looks and beautiful movement to his kind eye and steady personality, Stallone is the type that makes you stop and take a second look.
Stallone is the perfect mix of steady, willing, versatile, and happy to do whatever job he's asked to do. He rides beautifully at the walk, trot, and canter with a soft, responsive mouth and works nicely off seat and leg cues.
Most recently, Stallone went to the fair and showed with both a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old rider. With carnival rides, crowds, noise, and all the commotion going on in the background, he handled it like a seasoned show horse. He placed at the top of his classes, all while taking care of his young riders and helping build their confidence in the show ring. Stallone has also been used in our lesson program with our veterans, and he has also done therapy lessons. He is the type that can step down for a younger or less experienced rider but still has enough ability and responsiveness to be enjoyable for an experienced rider. He is confident outside of the arena as well. Stallone is road- and traffic-safe, enjoys the trails, handles obstacles well, and is sensible in new surroundings. Whether you’re riding around the farm, heading down the road, going to a show, or hitting the trails, he takes things in stride. On the ground, Stallone is just as enjoyable. He stands quietly to be groomed and tacked, stands for mounting and dismounting, and is good for the farrier and vet. He has a kind, expressive eye and genuinely enjoys attention and being around people. Stallone is one of those rare horses that can wear a show coat one day and hit the trails the next.
