Calm, Quiet, and Family Friendly, Cosmo is a 4yr old, Percheron/Paint Cross gelding currently standing 16hands. Cosmo rides English, Western, Bareback, & Drives….he’s ready to go wherever your journey leads. This exceptional gelding is more than a horse—he’s a lifelong companion.
With a willing, gentle nature, Cosmo is as fun to ride as he is easy to love. He is easily controlled by your feet & seat, has smooth, effortless transitions, lopes circles both directions on the correct lead on a loose rein, yet easily accommodates a more direct rein rider. He moves laterally off your leg, sidepasses, turns on his forehand, & on his haunches. Even though Cosmo is equipped with all the fancy buttons, he doesn’t require an expert horseman to enjoy him. He is patient, understanding, and tolerant of inexperienced cues. Cosmo rides out alone or in a group. Perfectly content to lead or follow. He is not herd bound. Suitable & safe for someone who would like to explore the countryside alone. He only goes the speed he is asked, rides through the woods, rides through open pastures, crosses water, goes up and down inclines, & confidently navigates rough terrain.
Beyond his capabilities under saddle, this gelding is truly gentle and kind-hearted. His laid back nature is a pleasure to have around the barn. He enjoys countless minutes of grooming by the kids, has impeccable ground manors, & is always easy to catch. Neat and tidy if kept in a stall, but is also perfectly content living outside among others. He is currently turned out daily with mares, geldings, & minis and never causes a fuss. Cosmo is a pleasure to load, haul, and stands tied.
