Parker is truly a one of a kind gelding! I’ve personally been enjoying this horse for months getting to know him and really having some fun with him. I am seriously going to shed some tears watching him go! He is the first horse I rode after having my baby, and the first horse my baby ever rode! This horse deserves all of the adventures, love and fun that I hope his new owner will give him.
I have ridden Parker both Western and English, he has easy to achieve gaits and responds fantastic to both leg and voice command. You can really throw away your reins or have a feel for his mouth and have him ride around collected and soft. I’ve even ridden him bridleless as seen in video and he is a real gem!
He stands like a gentleman to be mounted from the block or on the ground. His “whoa” button is perfectly installed and really takes care of his rider. Parker has been ridden by all levels of rider while with me, and has even done a few teach-to-canter lessons! He has tolerated beginner riders/unbalanced riders and takes serious joke! He’s super brave jumping, didn’t even bat an eye at popping over the barrels and never stops at a downed log. He is one of those unicorns you can really trust with anyone on him. On the trails we have gone over logs, through water, down the bogs and across bridges. Point his nose and have fun!
Parker shows potential in so many disciplines it would be too much to list. Hunter pace, fox hunt, trails, jumping, western dressage, ranch classes… the list goes on! I’ve gotten on him after much time off as well and he rode off like he never skipped a beat. He truly impresses me every ride with his gentleness and athleticism paired with the eagerness to please his rider is the perfect combination.
Personality wise, this horse is such a sweet sweet soul. I would trust an infant leading this horse around (actually, an infant HAS lead him around 🤣). Lead him with your pinky, he never wants to place a foot out of step. He follows you around the paddock while you clean and ask for lovings. He will stand all day long to be brushed and braided, he loves a bath and has no issues at all with fly spray. Very mellow, kind and easy going. He can be turned out alone or with others and gets along well with everyone! He straight ties to the trailer or whatever you put him to and cross-ties at home on the aisle. Parker is barefoot, fantastic for the farrier and is as sound and big boned as they come. UTD on absolutely everything and will leave the barn with a fresh trim as well. Everyone who meets him really enjoys spending time with him.
