Gertrude, or "Gerty" as we like to call her, is an elegant mule that will work for any ladies or gentlemen that love to trail ride. She is out of a Tennessee Walking mare who passed down a smooth gait, which makes taking her down the trails even more enjoyable. Gerty is a forward moving mule that does not have to be asked for every step. She does well at the front or middle of the trail group, and rides as well alone as she does with a group. Gerty has more miles on the trail than most trucks have that travel across the country. She is very experienced and takes the best care of anyone who swings a leg over her.
Gerty is easy to catch whether she is with pasture mates or in a private paddock. She has no problem with her ears being touched, making her easy to halter and bridle. Gerty is easy to shoe and acts like a lady when having her feet handled. She is the type of mule than any trail rider will get along wonderfully with. Gerty stands patiently to be mounted from the mounting block or the ground. Out on the trail and can't get back in the saddle? No worries, because Gerty will stand by a log or anything needed for you to get in the saddle. She would also work well for anyone looking for an honest mount to ride at field trials.
