Paddington is a 4 year-old, 13 hand Welsh × Paint pony who is absolutely darling and cute as a button. He is a chunky little guy with a solid build, an adorable head, and the kind of presence that makes people fall in love instantly.
Paddington has been out on plenty of trail rides and also loves to pull a carriage. He has a nice trot and a phenomenal uphill, comfortable canter. In fact, I cannot emphasize enough just how comfortable his gaits are — he has the best canter. He has been lightly started over fences and is already showing great potential. He also handles all of the obstacles, including pool noodles and the teeter-totter bridge, with ease. On top of all of that, he has a very loving, in your pocket personality.
Paddington has all the right pieces to be a top show pony in a hunter program and could make a wonderful Pony Finals prospect. While he has only jumped a handful of times and is still a bit green in the more formal aspects of the hunter/jumper world, his natural ability is undeniable. He has started lead changes each direction.
Whether you ride him once a week or every day, he is the same dependable pony out on the trail. He recently went to his first horse show and stepped right off the trailer to win the walk-trot. He is safe and easy enough for kids to hop on bareback in a halter and ride all around the farm. Paddington has even been ridden into our local Tractor Supply, where he was a crowd favorite. Did we mention, we’ve ridden him inside our house?!?! Yes, that’s right! He is a certified “House Pony”!
Our smallest rider, an 8 year old, loves riding this sweet pony and confidently trots and canters him all around the farm. She is able to catch him from the field, tack him up, and ride him entirely on her own without assistance, which speaks volumes about his temperament. He also loads, ties, stand tied to the trailer and cross ties well. Don’t miss out on Paddington! You’ll have the cutest pony in the barn!
