Captain is a 4 year old Friesian x Halflinger x QH cross. He stands just shy of 14 hands. Captain is that “perfect” size. He isn’t an intimidating size for the small children but has a wide barrel to fit the tall adults. This beautiful black gelding is the total package. He has a striking black coat and long flowing mane, he turns heads wherever he goes! He rides English and Western. Captain jumps confidently, and is trained to pull a carriage. In the western world, he has been exposed to all type of ranch work and livestock. Captain will get right up behind the big steers and push cattle. He will carry the flag & open gates. He is a brave boy and never backs down.
When it comes to English, he will frame up and has beautiful transitions & very comfortable gaits. Captain could easily be competitive in the show world. He has quite the fancy look with fancy movement to match. Captain is brave to the jumps and jumps in proper form. Captain has even been introduced to Bridleless riding. He has even jumped Bridleless in a big open field without a care in the world. Captain has the athleticism to do any type of job you could think of, yet he is still forgiving and quiet for the children to ride.He stands to be groomed by the kids, picks up all four hoofs, stands to be fly sprayed and is a statue to be saddled/bridled.
