Honda is a jaw dropping gelding that was born and raised on our farm. He is by our AQHA Perlino Stallion, out of our Percheron x QH mare (we even raised her too!). He has a very sweet, quiet, gentle disposition with excellent manners. That puppy dog personality makes him really special and enjoyable to be around. Honda is very athletic and has a solid foundation in training. He could go on as a trail/family horse or could be a flashy English prospect! As a trail and family horse, he is an excellent choice for any level of rider. During his time in training, he has spent a lot of time in the arena but has mainly been ridden lots of outside miles. He is well seasoned and has been exposed to many things on the trails. He will cross ditches, water, logs and even goes through all of the obstacles! He will lay down on cue and sit up like he's part Golden Retriever! He lopes nice, collected circles, easily picking up both leads. He has a nice soft stop and a correct turn around. He is well accustomed to the ball, the tarp, and even bridges. He really seems to enjoy all of the obstacles and going down the trails!
Honda has been ridden by riders of many different ages and skill levels. He is confident while still being kind with new riders, making him a real pleasure to work with. He is a big pet when out in the pasture, which makes it incredibly easy to walk up and catch him! You can always put a neck rope on him and ride him bareback to the barn; he's that willing to please you! He will ride bridleless and bareback as well! He would look outstanding in English tack and could be talented in so many events! He stands cross tied and is quiet while being groomed and tacked up. He loves baths! He is quiet and well-mannered for the vet and the farrier (wears size 1 shoe). He has a current Pre-Purchase Exam on file and a negative Coggins.
