This is “NIGHTHAWK”, a unique colored, seasoned, well broke VARNISH ROAN APPALOOSA JOHN MULE that has been employed as a ranch mule and used for recreational trail riding. He has a true one hand neck rein, stops easily, and backs up. This mule is 15.3 hands tall, well built, and 12 years old. He has good bone and feet. He is sure footed in the mountains, lopes around nice in the arena, and is a solid trail mount. He will cross any depth of water without hesitation, he walks out nicely, and will lope off with no hump and no buck. He rides on a loose rein and is a nice mover that can cover ground smoothly. He has been used to push lots of cattle and ride in rough country. He is safe on the roads with traffic, he is not spooky, and he rides out alone with no issues. He stands to tack, mount, and groom. He picks up all four feet and handles his ears quietly. He is a really fun mule to ride that is comfortable, confident, and experienced.
