Destino

Nino is a trotting gelding born in 2003. An absolute character horse! He was bred as a racehorse and was also successful for a few years on a trotting racecourse in Berlin. Afterwards he came to live with a family in the Harz Mountains, where he was to spend his retirement. His owner at the time was very close to me and loved this horse until the last moment. Since she has passed away, I brought him to Berlin.

He stood for a long time on large pastures (all year round) in a small herd. He shows his indescribably great character every day, for example by being alert, motivated, determined and concentrated at work, or by walking relaxed into the terrain or just looking cute. He is the perfect mix of senior sports partner and teddy bear. Due to the trotter breeding and the corresponding training, he has a pronounced trot, but quickly learned to canter as well. He's safe off-road and has a decent amount of forward, but you also have to be strong and assertive when it comes to stopping outside. If you tell him clearly to parry, he does so reliably, but you have to do more than whisper nicely to him. The "faster" riding experience is a lot of fun and is absolutely awesome when the terrain is nice, but should only be done by experienced Reiter_innen! 
He is not a beginner's horse when it comes to faster gaits. Not because he is malicious, but because he was trained from an early age to "have to go forward" as soon as he gets faster.

I like to describe it as the perfect balance between challenge and simplicity.

Of course, the question arises as to why such a great horse should be sold. It is with a heavy heart that I have to join many Reiter_innen in saying that I no longer live up to it. I would like to offer him a 100-star life, but besides the great box, the great food and so on, I can't give him my time. He doesn't need 10 hours of attention every day, he's just a "normal horse", but in addition to my studies and acute family conditions, I no longer manage to take care of myself properly.

That's why I'm looking for someone, a family or friends who want a horse and keep it species-appropriate. Someone who wants to share their free time with him. Someone who learns to love him as much as I do. Someone who cares about their well-being as much as I do. 
Someone who is genuinely honest and loving.

A provision may also have to be considered for me.

For me, space is 100% before price, because nothing is more important to me than the well-being of this animal!

With children, he is super sweet and sweet. Inexperienced or absolute Anfänger_innen can ascend carefree. He is fast on the road and reacts very quickly and accurately to help. He is not educated up to S, because I and the family did not want to offer him a Grand Prix life, but a relaxed, carefree leisure life. To be more precise, this simply means that I didn't work on specific tasks with him, but rather refined the basic work (position/bend/release/beat, etc.). 

Due to incorrect feeding, he developed Cushing's disease (a metabolic disease), due to which he gets half a tablet a day. He is otherwise perfectly healthy and has no other permanent illnesses!
He twisted his ankle slightly in the paddock at the beginning of 2023 and had a broken fetlock joint, which has completely healed after a strict pit rest. It bears no damage and is fully operational again. Of course, there are also X-ray and ultrasound images for this. 

Since the end of 2021, he has been in a paddock box in Berlin and comes out to pasture every day (gelding herd keeping). He is sociable with mares and walllets of all ages and is also used to open stables.

Full equipment (incl. saddle, bridles, saddle pads, bandages, gaiters, all blankets (rain, winter, sweat blanket), cleaning kit, emergency medicine box (Colosan, bandages, skin cream, etc.), etc.) is there and ready to be taken along!
