Desperados Elegantia – Directly from the breeder

Desperados Elegantia is a 3-year-old palomino gelding, currently measuring approximately 154 cm and expected to mature into a large E-pony.

He has been under saddle since the end of May and is truly one of the sweetest and easiest young horses you could wish for. Desperados was backed by young riders under my professional guidance and supervision. From the very first day, he has been exceptionally willing and straightforward, with no issues at all when mounting and riding away. He is currently worked around three times a week and does not need to be lunged beforehand.

Desperados has an interesting and very promising pedigree. His sire is the well-known NRPS stallion Don Cremello du Bois, measuring 147 cm. He successfully competed with both horses and ponies and has produced many offspring that are performing very well in sport.

His dam is the 165 cm KWPN mare Fame, by United x Gribaldi x Rubinstein, combining some beautiful dressage bloodlines. Desperados is one of five offspring we have bred from this mare, with four of them still owned by us.

Desperados has three very good, correct gaits with plenty of freedom, suppleness and quality. On top of that, he is incredibly sweet, affectionate and handsome. We believe he could be an ideal pony for a motivated young rider who wants to develop and shine in the competition arena.

He has already started going for short walks along the road and behaves very well. Due to his age, he has not yet been taken on proper hacks. We have also free-jumped him, where he showed a lovely and promising jump.

As breeders, we would ideally like to see Desperados go to a motivated rider who is serious about competing and developing his potential. Of course, we would also love to be able to follow his career in the future.

Desperados was X-rayed on 12 February 2026, including his neck and back. The X-rays were of good quality and showed no abnormalities. The X-rays and veterinary report are available for inspection. All additional veterinary examinations or re-examinations are welcome.
