If handsome and kind are at the top of your list, this is your guy!! Achilles is a magnificent 10 year old Knabstupper gelding standing a true 16 hands with a classy, unique look, tons of bone, and plenty of color!!
The ultimate trail and family horse who’s been there and done that with the demeanor to suit any rider. Achilles has spent the majority of his life as a ranch mount; saddled way before daylight and most days coming in well after the sun goes back down. He has seen all types of terrain from Montana to Texas and everything in between including but not limited to: deep washes, steep mountains, thick brush, mud bogs, rivers/creeks/streams, snow, ice, wind & rain. Rides english as well! Very enjoyable to school dressage or pop over some low level jumps if you get a wild hair! Many many miles and lots of wet saddle pads have prepared him for nearly any situation you may find yourself in. He keeps a cool head and has the most forgiving and friendly disposition you could ask for. Walks out on a loose rein, has a plush jog, floating extended trot, and a rolling canter. Neck reins and moves off leg, side passes to open and close gates, crosses bridges, navigates narrow paths with ease, doesn’t mind traffic, machinery, dogs, or children. In fact he ADORES children. Stack as many as you like on him and he will gladly pack them around at a gentle walk. Terrific ground manners, an absolute dream to shoe, and loves nothing more than a good bubble bath! Easy to clip, groom, saddle, and mount.
His resumé, no matter how impressive, is unmatched with his one-of-a-kind personality… this horse brightens your day everytime you come to the barn. He will greet you with a nicker from the stall or canter to the pasture gate. Not a mean bone in his body and a perfect gentleman to be around and handle in any capacity.
