Willow is a 13-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter mare standing 14.3 hands, built stout, correct, and made to comfortably carry an adult rider all day. She is strong enough to carry an adult all day, yet gentle and trustworthy enough to take care of a small child. She’s perfect for anyone who just wants to enjoy the ride! 

Willow will walk out with big horses and is just as happy cruising along with your Quarter Horse friends. She is traffic safe and solid around ATVs, bicycles, and wildlife. We’ve trail ridden her extensively, used her for daily cattle checking, ridden her down the highway, where she quickly became the talk of the town.

She has an incredibly smooth gait with a nice, balanced canter and consistently picks up both leads with ease. She’s been introduced to all sorts of obstacles , Fun classes and also sorting cattle, and she genuinely enjoys having a job to do. This mare is confident and sure-footed out on the trails—she goes out alone or with others and takes everything in stride. She’s the kind you can just hop on and enjoy, whether you’re riding around the arena or heading out for a relaxing trail ride.

She has a willing, forward attitude without being hot, and she’s happy to go to work but also just as content cruising along on a loose rein. She’s been exposed to a variety of environments and handles new situations with confidence and curiosity. On the ground, she’s easy to be around, stands well for grooming and tacking, and truly enjoys attention—she loves to be loved on. This is a fun, versatile mare with a great mind who will make someone an enjoyable, reliable partner. 

Willow is suitable for beginner to experienced riders and makes a fantastic step-up horse. She truly rides to her rider’s ability, which is one of the many reasons we love her so much. Horses like this are extremely hard to find.
