Yegua joven y amable - Connemara pony

Six-year-old mare "April," easy to handle in daily interactions (also manageable by children), and always curious and attentive during work. She was gently backed during the winter of 2024/2025 and has since proven to be well-behaved in all basic gaits — both in the riding arena, indoor school, and on trails.

April is sensitive at the leg, responsive, and consistently motivated. Currently, she is at approximately E-level, although she still finds left canter a bit challenging and would benefit from further training.

She is familiar with lunging, double lunging, groundwork, and free jumping, showing eagerness and engagement throughout. A pony that wants to please and will continue to develop with the right handler.

In handling, she is friendly but initially somewhat reserved with strangers. Once she has gained trust, she bonds strongly with her person and will go through thick and thin.

She is regularly vaccinated (tetanus, influenza) and receives osteopathic and dental care. HWSD n/n.

She currently lives in a small herd of mares, is socially compatible, and ranks in the middle of the herd hierarchy. She is accustomed to both box and paddock housing as well as turnout. She is very familiar with indoor arenas, outdoor riding areas, and trail riding.

Originally intended for use in a riding school, it has become clear that she does not thrive with frequent rider changes.

We are therefore looking for a sensitive leisure rider who enjoys working with a motivated, sensitive pony.
