"Maple is a total darling of a draft cross mare, just the right size for the whole family, for a program or personal horse.  Maple is truly one of a kind, standing at a perfect and solid-built 16 hands, she is 5 years old with a soul full of wisdom and kindness in her eyes.  Maple has been used for all kinds of activities, from carriage driving to trail riding to jumping fences to giving lessons to children to lounging around bareback!  A sleek and shiny liver chestnut, she has a very smooth walk-trot-canter, making trotting and cantering a breeze and easy on your back and legs.  She is a true gentle spirit.  She rides western and can carry bigger riders with no problems, she also rides English and she loves to jump!  She is a great carriage driving horse as well and she will drive alone or on a team with other horses.  Maple has been used for lessons with children, and she is good for kids to handle on the ground and for them to learn on her.  She will also do lessons on the lunge line as well as off the lunge line.  She is very patient and kind and she has great manners.  She will happily stand for baths, she ties both single and cross-ties, she will load onto the trailer easily, she is great for the farrier (no stocks are needed), she picks up all her feet nicely and is great for the vet as well.  
Out on the trails, Maple is a trail blazer!  She has ""horse 4WD"" and has easily gone over messy, muddy, slick or rocky terrain.  She will go into water and crosses creeks.  She is very study and sure-footed, yet at the same time agile and going up and down hills and through mud is easy for her.  Combined with how smooth she is to ride, she is like the Cadillac of trail mounts!  She also has strong feet that are great for the trails.  She is happy to lead or follow other horses on the trail and is great at both.

Maple loves to jump and is a natural over fences, taking jumps effortlessly.  She has been taken over natural obstacles out on the trails, jumped in the area, and shows a knack for jumping.  She does all of this in a simple snaffle bit and responds well to cues when asked.  She stands great for mounting, and she is a great size, easy to get on and off yet while still being large enough to carry most any rider.  She seems like a perfect candidate for foxhunting or hilltopping this Fall.

Around the barn, Maple has great manners and no vices at all.  She is happy to be in her stall or to be turned out.  She gets along with other horses well.  She is easy to have around and does not need grain and gets turned out on full pasture no problem.  Maple is UTD on all care: dentist, vet, coggins, deworming and farrier.  Maple recently underwent a vet exam, which she passed with flying colors.  She is not on any maintenance or supplements, and she has no blemishes.  If you are looking for a clean, sound horse in its prime, with a very solid disposition, a diverse set of skills, sturdy and strong and very versatile, a sweet and doting personality, and years of service to offer-- look no more, you have found your unicorn!!!
