For more details and to register visit: www.Horsebid.com CONSIGNOR CONTACT: C&A Horse Ranch 660-679-1721 LOCATION: Rockville, MO BREED: Draft Cross REGISTERED: No COLOR: Buckskin with Blanket HEIGHT: 14.3 AGE: 6 GENDER: Gelding Medicine Man is the type of gelding that stops you in your tracks so you can take in the view. His buttermilk buckskin color with his thick frosty mane & tail are outstanding; but his big blanket, light feathering, and loud peacock spots are what truly take your breath away. He is the definition of stunning and a real-life unicorn! That's how he made his way into our program almost 2 years ago. But his wow factor doesn't end there... we're just getting started. Medicine Man is the horse that waits for you at the gate; he truly bonds with his rider which is incredibly special to have the opportunity to experience. Once he knows who you are, he wants to be respectfully near you anytime that he can be. When riding, he is as soft as butter and has a true one-handed neck rein. He has been ridden by many adults who have complemented how unique it is that he actually does ride as cool as he looks. The kids equally enjoy him just as much! He recently got to compete at the 2026 CSC Speed Event Series youth show where he was exposed to tons of foot traffic, children (10+ years old), pets, and handled all of it like a champ! He even won his class in Horsemanship with his 11-year-old rider. He has the heart of a Champion in every single way. Medicine Man is exceptionally versatile and talented! He is already clearing low jumps with both adult and youth riders. He would be perfect for youth eventing. He rides around very supple whether he is indoors or outdoors. He can depart and lope directly out of his tracks; an athlete in every way! He lopes both directions, correctly picking up his leads on cue, and can even do it all bridleless. When you are ready, he will melt into a big stop and let the dirt fly! He has so much style in his lope, with a lot of feel and a cool cadence. He really enjoys the obstacles, playing with the tarp, crossing the bridge, and even the big bouncy ball. We have cracked bull whips from his back, worked gates, pushed cattle out of pens and up the alleyway, gathered cow/calf pairs, sorted calves, and have even roped slow calves on him. He is very cowy and wants to go to them, he is not bothered by flags or side by sides. With his cowy nature, fancy handle and big stop, he has everything to make a one-of-a-kind rope horse. On the trails, Medicine Man is as sure footed as they come. We have ridden him along the rocky bluffs of the Osage River where terrain is rugged, and foot placement can be crucial. He has been ridden on all day trail rides where he was exposed to wildlife, crossed creeks and ditches, and stepped easily over down timber without ever quitting. He rides quietly whether he is in the front or the back of the group. He would do so well out west in the mountains or even with an endurance rider. He has been ridden many miles down gravel roads and highways, he is traffic safe. We have even strolled through our town square where he got to experience the hustle and bustle of small-town life. Recently, we took him on a 4-mile trail ride with our 4-year-old granddaughter along, his relaxing ride rocked her to sleep. Whether in the barn or at the arena, Medicine Man will ground tie (or cross ties) and stand quietly to be groomed and tacked up. He is a very kind, stoic gentleman. Whether bareback or tacked, he side passes over to the mounting block so you can mount with ease. You can always expect him to ride off quietly, and trust that he will give you the same safe ride every day. He loves baths and water in general. He easily picks up and holds all four feet to be trimmed and shod by the farrier and is a gentleman for all veterinary and dental work. Horses like this do not come along often and it's easy to see that he is special in numerous ways. He has genuinely been a pleasure to train, always keeping the willingness to learn and aiming to please his rider. Big or small, he gets along well with everyone; whether it is a pasture mate, the barn cat, dogs, or the barnyard turkey! Medicine Man will come with a current negative Coggins, Health Certificate, and Pre-Purchase exam (can be found at the end of his photos). We are happy to help you arrange nationwide shipping. We welcome you to come and meet him for yourself and enjoy his cool ride! Everyone says they have a once in a lifetime horse, but they don't have Medicine Man! If you have any questions or would like to meet our once in a lifetime gelding, please contact us at C&A Horse Ranch 660-679-1721. God Bless!
