Ruger’s experience is extensive and well-rounded. He has been trail ridden through rocky, hilly terrain, confidently crosses water, navigates logs, and is comfortable around traffic. He has been ridden in the arena, carried a flag, and been exposed to a stock whip while mounted. Previously used for jumping, he brings additional athleticism and versatility to his resume.
Throughout his time with us, he has proven to be level-headed and dependable in every setting.
One of Ruger’s standout features is his ability to “meet you at the mount.” He has been trained to step up alongside an object, making mounting easy and convenient no matter the environment—a unique and highly practical skill he performs willingly and consistently.
On the ground, Ruger is equally impressive. He bathes, clips, stands tied, loads, and stands quietly for the farrier, conducting himself with the manners of a seasoned, well-handled horse.
Ruger is current on all routine care. His vaccinations and Coggins were completed approximately 7 weeks ago, teeth were floated 07-04-2025, and he is up to date on farrier work. He has been ridden consistently 5 days per week over the past 7–8 weeks, ensuring he is fit, responsive, and ready to transition seamlessly into his next program.
