Rockin Robbie, simply known as Robbie around the barn, is a stunning 3-year-old black tobiano spotted saddle horse gelding. Robbie currently stands a little over 14.3 hh with a sturdy build. Robbie has trail experience under his belt. He has been ridden across eastern Kentucky, including a lot of Daniel Boone National Forest. Robbie will cross water, navigate around downed trees, and make his way through rocky terrain. Robbie also has experience climbing and coming down mountainous terrain. While riding, Robbie and I have encountered various wildlife, including deer, turkeys, squirrels, and more. I have put several miles on Robbie alone, as well as taken part in some group rides. He will lead the pack if you ask, but also follows along comfortably if you prefer. Robbie is the type of young horse that gets me excited! He is a pleasure to work with. He has a very sensible mind that is willing to learn, making him very teachable! Robbie and I have navigated several tasks where he has performed excellently, such as standing to be mounted from the mounting block, crossing the tarp, and backing off the trailer, among others. Robbie already has a better mindset than many aged horses! Robbie stands to be tacked up, groomed, mounted, and dismounted, loads and unloads from the trailer, is good for both the vet and farrier, and has an outstanding foundation at 3 years old. In addition to his model horse looks and great foundation, Robbie also has a super gait. He is all natural and smooth! His saddle gait is a trail rider’s dream!
