✨ 4-Year-Old | 15.3 HH | Registered AQHA Mare ✨
“Emma Jo” is a beautifully started young mare with a rock-solid brain and an exceptional mind for her age. She is quiet, honest, and uncomplicated, making her a standout for someone wanting a young horse with real miles and confidence already installed. Of course, she is still a coming 4-year-old and will continue to benefit from finishing, but we truly can’t think of much more we could do with her at this stage.
Emma Jo has been ridden extensively outside the arena. She has been ridden down the road, into town, and to the beach where she confidently walked straight into the crashing waves. She has also been to the cross-country course where she has jumped logs, coops, and a gate, and willingly goes through the water without hesitation.
Under saddle, Emma Jo is a very pleasant ride. She has a great rhythm over fences, stays relaxed, and is never in a rush. She is more woah than go, but not lazy. She is very much a float-the-reins type that stays soft, balanced, and steady. She knows her leads, has a great “woah,” is good with bouncy balls, has been exposed to cattle, and will confidently carry a flag.
Emma Jo is barefoot and sound. She loads, ties, and cross ties with ease. She lives comfortably in a mixed herd with mares and geldings and is also happy being ridden out alone.
Our 10 year old rider, Hazel, rides Emma Jo both solo and double with friends!
This is a quality young mare with the brain, exposure, and temperament that is hard to find. She is equally happy English or Western. Easy enough for a 4-H kid to finish her. Your husband can hop on in a western saddle and enjoy a quiet trail ride in the woods, down the road, or at the beach. She is a true all-around prospect—ideal for hunters, trails, foxhunting, eventing, or a pleasure home. She is a good mover and is registered if you wanted to go horse show her!
Easy keeper. Don’t miss out. We welcome you to come spend the day with her—we’re very excited to show her off! Shipping is available.
