Meet Fred Flintstone. He’s a Yabba Dadda Doo!!!
Fred Flintstone is a stunning buckskin gelding. He is just as cute as he can be. He is one of those good honest all around trail horse and kid horse deluxe. Fred is the kind that is bombproof for absolutely anyone to ride. He is kid tested and grandparents approved. He has been rode by ages 2 yrs old to 86 yrs old. He is a been there done that type. A well seasoned horse with thousands of miles under his belt. He is the perfect size of 14 hands tall. Not too big not too small! And he is the perfect age of 9 yrs old. (Vet confirmed on age).
Fred Flintstone is a half gaited/half quarter horse. So he is the perfect mix for an absolutely smooth ride. He is not a prancy or hyper horse. When asked he will step up in the perfect little running walk gait. It’s a very natural laid back gentle kind of gait. He will walk or kick him up to that little gait. He will go both slow or fast. You just set the speed to your liking. As soon as you are done he will drop right back down into a walk. It’s kinda of liking putting your car on curse control. You set the speed and he will do the rest. He is a super smoooooth ride!!!! And oh so easy and fun. If you have back or hip issues and need a comfortable ride this is him. He is a short stout made horse that has plenty of foot and bone. Plus absolutely stunning to look at. Fred is trail riders dream horse. He is a true gentleman to be around on the ground. He is a perfectly well mannered gelding. He stands tied at the trailer, stands for farrier, vet, and bathes well. He stalls well, and enjoys turn out time. He gets along with other horse well. He's is very brave and takes everything you expose him to in stride.
Fred Flintstone will cross whatever you come to on the trails.. creeks, bridges, deadfall, wildlife, rocky terrain. We have been through all kinds terrain, had him around gunfire, tarps, city lights, city traffic, and cattle, all of which he has handled very well.
Fred has a true one hand neck rein, and is very light in the mouth. He backs up with ease.
He rides out alone just fine. Not at all buddy sour or herd soured. Not at all hyper. I can’t stress that enough. Other gaited I have been around seem to want to go all the time. That is not him. He will go when asked then he will walk the rest of the time. You wouldn’t even know he was gaited till you speed him up.
We have used him to check our cattle and ride out on the ranch. He likes working cattle and being around them. We have took him on many mountain rides and over ight camping trips. He is a seasoned real deal trail horse. We have let the kids ride him through town. Absolutely not fazes this guy. Not at all spooky or watchy. No bad habits at all. Absolutely no buck or silliness when riding him.
Fred Flintstone is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. No special feeds or supplements. He can go bare foot or put shoes on him. You can stall him or turn him out. Doesn’t matter to him. He is easy peasy. PLUS he sells 100% sounds with no health issues. He did have a pre evaluation done by our vet (included in the pictures). If you have anymore questions about him feel free to call. We would love to visit with you about him. We can help you arrange shipping anywhere. He is up to date on all vaccinations, worming, had his teeth checked, feet trimmed. He is ready to go to his new home. ❤️
