we’re proud to offer Rio, a handsome 7-year-old bay gelding that truly checks every box for anyone searching for a dependable, versatile working partner. This exceptional gelding has all the right buttons and is the kind of horse that gives his rider confidence every time they swing a leg over. Whether you’re looking for a trustworthy trail companion or a horse that’s ready to go to work, Rio is the total package. Rio is 100% neck reined, always picks up the correct leads, and has a smooth, comfortable trot and lope that make him a pleasure to ride all day long. He is incredibly user-friendly, making him a great fit for riders wanting a well-trained horse with a willing attitude. Predominantly ridden by teenagers, Rio has proven to be safe, dependable, and enjoyable for riders of varying experience levels. On the trail, Rio is exactly what everyone hopes to find. He will confidently cross logs, navigate the deepest water, and climb the steepest hills without hesitation. He is extremely sure-footed and always takes care of his rider, making long trail rides enjoyable and worry-free. He absolutely loves water, rides double with ease, and will happily trail ride for miles and miles wherever you point him. Around the barn, Rio is just as impressive. He’s very easy to catch, gets along wonderfully with other horses, bathes quietly, trailers like a seasoned professional, and hauls anywhere without a fuss. He’s been to arenas and handles new environments with confidence and a calm demeanor. Rio genuinely enjoys people and loves the attention, making him a favorite to have around every day. One of Rio’s best qualities is how uncomplicated he is to own. He requires no maintenance, remains sound even without consistent riding, and is safe and enjoyable to handle both on the ground and under saddle. Horses with this kind of training, disposition, and reliability are hard to come by. If you’ve been searching for a dependable, well-rounded gelding that is ready to be your next partner, Rio is one you won’t want to miss.
