Sid is a 2020 registered blue roan AQHA gelding. This handsome young gentleman stands 15 hands tall and is thick-made. He is a very sweet horse who loves to be best friends with his people and would gladly stand tied all day long as you groom, bathe, and braid his hair. He is a gentle boy who aims to please his rider on every ride or on the ground. While trail riding, Sid will go through anything in his path with ease and does not mind being in the front, middle, or back of the pack. He will ride out alone or with the group. Sid is easy to catch, whether you keep him in a stall or turn him out on acres of pasture. While under saddle, he has three very comfortable gaits. Sid can mosey on down the trail at a walk, a smooth trot, or a one-step short lope that has a rocking chair motion. Sid is happy to go at whatever speed his rider tells him and will speed up or slow down whenever they tell him to. If you’re looking for a horse to set the reins on the horn while riding down a trail and not worry about them for a while, Sid is your man. If you don’t want to use a bridle and reins, don’t fret because you can ride him bridle-less, too! Around our place, Sid has been our go-to horse for trail riding, checking fences, going to town to eat dinner and back, or going to local fun shows. Trailering back and forth to different places is a breeze because he practically loads himself and never hesitates to jump into the trailer. Sid will stand tied to be groomed, bathed, saddled, and even hobbled trained. The most remarkable thing about Sid is that he is gun-safe, and we have hunted off his back. He is not afraid to do a hard day’s work and will still have a good attitude at the end of it.
