Shine is a 5yr old own son of Shine Chic Shine and out of a daughter of Mr Melody Jac that stands 14.2hh and boasts the conformation of an athlete bred to be as great as his papers suggest.
Shine has had a consistent 3 years of professional reining training and is solid in all the maneuvers. His solid training makes him an easy auto pilot ride and his mind and gentle demeanor make him very novice and youth safe. He is a natural big stopper, has a great turnaround, solid lead change, and is a push button ride. Besides all of his reining training, Shine has also been out on the trails and really enjoys his time out. He will cross creeks, ride right down the road, and is happy to go out alone or with others. He is also great at all arena obstacles including ground poles, bridges, the teeter-totter bridge, and is great with the tarp, dragging logs or the tire, and will carry the flag. This gelding is gentle every day, whether laid off for a week or months at a time. Which has made Shine a barn favorite and enjoyed by everyone who meets him, including a 12yr old boy.
Shine is easy to care for and has required no special care or maintenance of any kind. He stalls great, enjoys turnout, gets along with others, ties, cross ties, bathes, clips, and loads and hauls like a pro. This gelding would be ideal for someone to take and show in the ranch horse events, enjoy out on the trails or around the farm, and could easily double as an all around youth show horse as well all while being easily maintained at home.
AQHA registered, 5 Panel negative, current negative coggins, and has his NRBC certificate. Clean legged, great feet, and the only blemish to him is a very very small scar on his front right heal from an old heal bulb injury that is purely cosmetic and only noticeable if pointed out.
" Shine has been out of a professional reining program for the past 9 months getting experience under his belt outside of the arena, and with different riders of all different backgrounds. His current sale video is footage taken all within the last couple of weeks, showing 3 different riders on him of all ages, including a 12yr old boy. Also showing him in and out of the arena, riding bridleless, obstacles, and riding right down the road. The second video included is from 9months ago showing full reining pattern work under professional reining training.
