Chex Yes or No is a 4 year old AQHA registered gelding standing 15.2 hands high. This horse "Chex" all the boxes. He is elegant, well rounded, safe, sane, and sweet as pie. Few horses, fewer at his age, can effortlessly go around in any tack, doing any job, and do them all this well. In English tack, he goes like a show hunter on the flat, and jumps around all the fences on the cross country field like any solid event horse should. Under western tack, Chex has a beautiful spin, stop, side pass, and every button you could want. He is show stopping in the ring, and reliable and sure footed when you're out. You will get noticed everywhere you go with a horse like this, and not just for his good looks! He has the right attitude, quiet mind, and rock solid foundation that will have any onlooker wishing they could call him their own. Look like a pro, and feel confident, no matter what job you choose to do together. '
In the ring, Chex speaks for himself. He was started correctly, with a solid western foundation, setting him up for success in any ring. He naturally carries himself well, is smooth, simple, and light in the bridle. In English tack, he will ride with contact or on the buckle, and will pop over fences in the ring and on the field. He is schooling his changes, and is easily completing first level dressage tests. The girls ride him in their weekly lessons and love him! He is patient, forgiving, and aims to please. Under western tack, Chex has all the buttons you could ever want! Ride a reining pattern, ride him bridleless, or ride him like a ranch horse. He has a nice big stop, knows all the lateral work, has beautiful transitions, canter departures, and spins.
On the trails and off property, Chex is the center of attention. Take him on a hunter pace and have everyone in the vicinity stopping to talk about him! He is used to loading up and going new places such as hunter paces, schooling, cross country, trail riding, and to various clinics. He is easy to load and trailer, rides alone or in a group, crosses water, and is not worked up by his surroundings. The kids take him out with their friends fro evening hacks around the farm, and he is even safe for the husband or guests to take out for a spin!
In the barn, Chex is sweet and gentle. He loves his people and boy does he know he's handsome! He is friendly as can be, and loves to be groomed and pampered. He is easy to catch, and would much rather follow you around the farm than be in his paddock anyhow. Chex is an easy keeper that lives outside in a herd, weather permitting, and is a good boy when stalled. Chex has no vices, requires no maintenance, and is an easy keeper.
