Throughout the years, we’ve all admired the legendary horses of Hollywood. From Roy Rogers’ Trigger to The Lone Ranger’s Silver and John Wayne’s beloved Duke, these remarkable horses became just as famous as the stars who rode them. They carried heroes through cattle drives, chased outlaws across rugged country, sorted cattle, and stole the spotlight in some of the greatest Westerns ever made. Those horses weren’t just beautiful—they were dependable, honest, and talented. The lives of actors and stunt riders depended on them every day. They had to stay calm under pressure, perform on cue, and handle anything asked of them. Their loyalty and reliability made them true Hollywood legends. Now it’s your turn to own a little piece of that legacy. “EG Hobo Diamond”—better known around the barn as Carter—is a 2014 AQHA black gelding standing 15.1 hands tall, and he is everything people imagine when they picture the perfect black horse. Coal black from nose to tail, stout made, kind-eyed, and built like a ranch horse should be, Carter is the kind that makes people stop, stare, and ask, “Where did you find him?” Adding to his incredible story, Carter has worked on Paramount productions, including television’s hit series Dutton Ranch. But long before the cameras started rolling, he earned his reputation the old-fashioned way—with honest ranch work and countless miles under saddle. Carter is the definition of a seasoned ranch gelding. He’s been used for all aspects of ranch work and has the quiet confidence that only comes from experience. In the arena, he rides around on a loose rein with a soft one-handed neck rein, a smooth stop, correct leads, and effortless transitions. Outside, he’ll cross water, logs, tarps, bridges, rough country, creeks, rivers, traffic, curbs, and even stairs without batting an eye. Carry a flag, spend all day checking cattle, hit the trails, or ride through town—he’s ready for whatever adventure comes next. What truly makes Carter special isn’t the television credits or even his stunning looks… It’s the way he makes you feel when you’re sitting in the saddle. He enjoys his job, and he’ll happily stay with you all day without getting in a hurry. He’s the kind that makes every ride relaxing and every mile enjoyable. He’s an easy keeper requiring no maintenance, stands quietly for the farrier and veterinarian, loads and hauls with ease, and is just as happy living in the pasture as he is being pampered in a stall. Black horses have always captured our imagination. They’re bold, elegant, timeless, and unforgettable. Most people spend a lifetime wishing they could own their own Black Beauty. Here’s your chance to make that dream a reality. Because horses like Carter don’t come along very often… and legends never stay available for long. Hes located at our facility in Whitesboro,Texas.
