Wow… where do you even begin with a horse like Jackpot?
Jackpot is a 2015 model, 14.3 hand AQHA gelding that is the definition of eye-catching, dependable, and truly one of a kind. Whether he is standing out in the pasture, turning heads in the barn, or shining on the trail or in the show pen, he is the kind that naturally draws attention everywhere he goes. He is also as striking as they come—Jackpot has two white socks, a bold bald face, and two blue eyes that make him unforgettable. Those bright blue eyes are paired with a kind, gentle expression and a true “want to please” look that reflects exactly who he is on the inside. His pedigree speaks volumes—going back to Hall of Fame greats Hollywood Dun It and Peppy San Badger and being an own son of the 5-million-dollar sire Pale Face Dunit. But Jackpot is far more than just impressive papers—he is the kind that proves his worth every single ride. Under saddle, Jackpot is as smooth as silk. From his walk, trot, extended trot, to a soft, collected lope, everything about him is effortless and comfortable. He moves out with a natural cadence that makes him a pleasure to ride all day long. He knows his leads, has a clean, correct flying lead change, and a nice spin to match. He rides collected when asked yet is just as content to cruise along on a loose rein—even to the point that you can ride him bridle less, showing just how broke, responsive, and in tune he truly is. What really sets Jackpot apart is his mind. He is a true gentleman—quiet, kind, and willing every time you swing a leg over him. He takes care of his rider and adapts to whoever is on his back. Whether you are a beginner, a seasoned rider, or anywhere in between, Jackpot gives you confidence and consistency. His versatility is hard to beat. He can go in any direction you choose—babysitter, trail partner, reining prospect, or ranch show horse. He has been ridden miles and miles on the trails—through thick woods, across open fields, over logs, and through water and creeks. Nothing phases him. Ride him western, English, or bareback—he stays the same honest, steady horse every time. He is the kind you can show in the morning, go for a relaxing trail ride in the afternoon, and safely let the kids enjoy in the evening. That “been there, done that” attitude makes him a true all-around family horse. In the barn, Jackpot is a favorite. He is the first one to meet you at the gate, always looking for attention, and easy to manage in every way. He stands quietly for grooming, tacking, mounting, and farrier work. He loads and unloads with ease and hauls quietly. Out in the real world, he is as solid as they come. Jackpot has been ridden on state and county roads, through traffic, and stays calm and level-headed. He has been exposed to tarps, whips, jugs, and all kinds of everyday commotion without batting an eye. He is up to date on all vaccinations, deworming, and shoeing, and is ready to step right into his next home with no surprises. Jackpot is not just another nice horse—he is the kind that’s hard to replace. Safe, talented, good-minded, and broke the way everyone hopes to find. A true partner that you can enjoy today and be proud to own for years to come. If this sounds like the horse that you have been looking for please feel free to reach out to us at (330) 231-2324 for more info or to Schedule a day to see him in person.

I started my journey in the horse industry in 1995 when I purchased my very first pony at 11 years old. I spent an entire year devoted to training, riding,, and teaching him fun tricks like laying down, sitting, and bowing. I sold him later that year; the feeling of providing a well trained, well behaved, horse was so rewarding that I felt I wanted to continue to share my gift. In 2007, I married my awesome wife Miriam, and we have been blessed with six incredible children (two daughters and four sons) that participate daily with the operation of the farm. What started as myself and a dream has become the full time commitment of my family, and ten employees. The opportunity to share our horsemanship has been so rewarding. In kind, we have been so blessed to learn from professional experts and knowledgeable friends that have voluntarily poured into us their invaluable years of knowledge.

Our program has developed, changed, and grown along the way to ensure that we are producing a quality horse that we know we can stand behind. We start by carefully evaluating each horse before purchase. We specialize in quality quarter horses, draft crosses, and also Friesian and Gypsy crosses, from performance to trail riding to leisure.

After selection, we take the horse through our groundwork program to get connected with them as individuals. We take them through obstacles and trail ride them, exposing them to anything they may ever encounter.

Then, we give the horses a break for up to one month. This allows us to see how the training will stick with them. If they come back in the same place they were before the break we know they are ready to move through the rest of the program and become finished Buckeye Acre Farm horses, learning all of the fun crowd pleasing tricks. We feel we have one of the best soundness guarantees in the business, and we will stand behind that.

This has been an awesome journey, and God continues to bless and humble us each and every day. All of us, from our children to our employees, want to provide the best quality horses that you and your families will enjoy for years to come. Over the years we have experienced that the horse market changes, but also that a quality horse is always in high demand. If you see a horse that meets your needs, please reach out to us. I look forward to your call, and to speaking with you personally about your next equine partner.

May God bless your day.
