Cora was used out west as both a pack mule and ridden by hunters to go out on coon hunts with. Cora is the epitome of a trail riding mule, she is sure footed, sound and quiet minded. She will go over logs, big rocks, and other uneven terrain as well as through water and mud and up and down very steep mountains and narrow paths. Cora is great out in the lead, in the middle of the group with others riding beside or directly behind her or will bring up the back of the group if asked. She will also gladly go out alone, anywhere you point her she will go. She has been arena rode and will walk, trot and canter, she takes both leads, will stop and back up. Cora has a naturally quiet demeanor about her and we have done a number of things with her to be sure she stays quiet. We have cracked bull whips off her, carried a flag, carried an umbrella, pulled a sled, bounced a ball on and around her as well as had her push the ball around, you can work a gate off her and ride her up into the trailer. We have had Cora jump onto a flat bed trailer and moved it with her and rider standing on it and she never batted an eye. Cora is good around dogs, will ride on the hard roads with vehicles passing by and is good with equipment and other loud machinery operating around her. Cora stands tied on a single tie or cross ties, she is good to groom, handle feet and tack up, she will stand to be bathed and clipped and is good for the farrier and the vet.
