Er ist jährlich beim Zahnarzt, erhält alle Impfungen, wird chiropraktisch behandelt und regelmäßig beschlagen. Hufeisen sind auch weiterhin sehr wichtig für ihn! Nachts steht er in einer großen Außen-Box und tagsüber auf der Weide. Er ist herdenverträglich, doch ist er trotz seiner imposanten Erscheinung eher rangniedrig und hat gerne auch sein Rückzugsort und seine gemütliche Box über Nacht.
