Curvy young blonde, loves adventure and long walks, seeking like-minded life partner… Here is a horse of a different color! Donna is an 8-year-old chocolate palomino roan mare, with curves in all the right places, and a temperament as sweet as honey. Donna stands 14.3 hands and is about 1100 pounds, with tons of foot and bone. She’s built to go anywhere and last forever. She sells grade, and your guess is as good as mind on her breeding; with big round feet and feathers, I suspect she’s a crossbred, but she’s sensitive to pressure and moves off the leg like a Quarter Horse, and that mane and tail are 100% Gypsy. Throw in some Appaloosa speckles or maybe Rocky Mountain Horse coloring, and she’s a real Heinz 57. Donna has impeccable ground manners. She bathes, clips, loads, ties, and is great with her feet. She was originally started in an English discipline, so she has some nice collection and the smoothest transitions you’ll ever feel. Then she got a job at a dude ranch, where she primarily worked in the children’s lesson program. She is an absolute angel with children, sweet and patient, and oh-so-forgiving. She has been exposed to tarps, dogs, goats, chickens, cattle, four-wheelers and all the chaos that comes with kids. Far from a deadhead, she’ll lope right off and pick up the pace when asked. In the arena, Donna knows both her leads and lopes pretty circles. She has a soft jog you can sit all day, and a gentle rocking-chair lope that’s sure to have you grinning from ear to ear. But outside of the arena is where Donna really shines. She LOVES a trail ride, and strides right out at a nice clip. She’ll lead, follow, and is happy to go out alone. Hop on her bareback to go check the cattle, or load her up for an overnight adventure with friends. She’s just happy to get out in the sunshine with you. Donna is 100% sound and sane, with no vices. She stays pleasantly plump on grass, and doesn’t have any blemishes. She’s up to date on shots, wormer, teeth, and feet. She has only ever known good care. She was barefoot all year, but I just got her shod all the way around for her sale. She’s legged up and ready to meet that special someone! Is it you? Located in Fishtail, Montana. Not available for private sale outside of this auction. Contact Melissa Kepler for more information: 303-877-9151.
