BOUGIE 7-Year-Old Rare Palomino Snowflake Appaloosa Gelding • 15 Hands Some horses try hard to get noticed. Bougie doesn’t have to. With his rare palomino snowflake Appaloosa coat and sharp presence, he’s the kind that naturally catches an eye from across the pen. But once you saddle him up, it becomes clear Bougie is a whole lot more than just good looks. He is safe for all levels. Bougie is gentle to be around and simple to handle. He stands quiet to saddle, rides off easy, and carries himself with the kind of steady attitude that makes a horse enjoyable to own. Whether he’s ridden every day or given a little time off, he comes out the same honest horse each time. Out on the trail, Bougie has seen plenty of country. He’s been ridden through state parks and rough terrain where wildlife, water crossings, bridges, and uneven ground are just part of the ride. He is use to pedestrians, bikes and wildlife. He takes it all in stride and stays level-headed wherever you point him. He’s also comfortable around trail obstacles such as bridges, tarps, flags, and other obstacles, and rides quietly through town traffic with cars, trucks, and everyday commotion without losing his composure. In the arena, Bougie carries himself with a smooth, balanced way of going. He moves correctly through his transitions, has a nice stop, backs easily with light cues, and stays soft and responsive. Around the ranch, Bougie has been used to gather cattle, brand, and sort, working quiet and cooperative while he does his job. He has also been tracking the lead steer and is showing the kind of natural feel that could make him a very nice rope horse. Bougie is the kind of gelding you can take down the trail, go do a day’s work on the ranch, or enjoy riding in the arena. With his unique color, good mind, and steady way of going, he’s the kind of horse people enjoy owning. Good horses come in all colors… but it sure doesn’t hurt when one shows up looking like Bougie.
