Simple, safe, and uncomplicated, Tex is a 9 year-old Paint gelding standing 15 hands tall. He has spent the past several months as my dad’s trail horse, riding throughout the mountains of North Carolina before recently making the trip to Oklahoma.
Tex settles into new places quickly and without fuss. On the trail, he confidently crosses bridges, water, and logs. He has a slower, relaxed walk, is comfortable leaving other horses, and travels happily on a loose rein. He is a pleasure to ride with friends when you want a calm, enjoyable ride.
In the barn, Tex has excellent ground manners and is easy to shoe, clip, and bathe. He stands quietly without constantly moving around. He can be turned out with a group or kept in a stall, and in the herd he minds his own business without being mean to other horses.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced gelding who is gentle, dependable, and uncomplicated to ride, Tex is worth a look.
